The head of the Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization has said 20,000 garbage bags were distributed among the citizens on Nature Day in order to prevent the spread of pollution in the parks.
As reported by the news unit of the Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi said that according to the plan of previous years, the dry waste collection fleet was deployed at the entrance of parks in the city to collect the citizens’ dry waste.
In order to maintain the cleanliness of the parks, 20,000 bags of blue plastic for dry waste and 15,000 car bags were delivered to the citizens at the the parks’ entrances, he stated.
Mirebrahimi pointed out that the observance of environmental cleanliness is primarily in the interest of the citizens, adding, “This issue should become a popular demand and the citizens themselves should pay the necessary attention to the cleanliness of the city and the surrounding environment.”
He noted that that the purpose of distributing garbage bags among the citizens of Qom is to clean up nature and prevent the dumping of garbage on Nature Day.
