Director General of Coordination and Supervision of Urban Services of Qom Municipality says more than 27 million square meters of urban space are cleaned daily, and the necessary arrangements have been made to collect 1000 tons of waste per day from Qom city.
Seyyed Mohsen Mirhadi made the remarks referring to the readiness of all municipal services in Qom Municipality for the last days of the year and ahead of Nowruz (Persian new year).
The deputy of municipality services along with related organizations is fully prepared for Nowruz holidays so that they can have suitable services for travelers and pilgrims, he stated.
He said that more than 27 million square meters of urban space are cleaned daily, adding that these measures are carried out by 1700 sweepers and health service forces in the field of municipality waste collection.
The Director General of Coordination and Supervision of Urban Services of Qom Municipality noted that these measures will be carried out by 160 pressing and mechanized machines for 700 tons of waste from 9 pm to 6 am.
He announced the increase of waste in the last days of the year and Nowruz and reiterated, “According to the last days of the year, the necessary arrangements have been made to collect 1000 tons of waste per day from the city of Qom.”
