100 construction projects become operational during Fajr Decade, says Qom mayor

The mayor of Qom says on the occasion of the Fajr Decade, 100 construction projects worth one thousand billion tomans will be put into operation in Qom.

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad in the 26th session of the Islamic City Council of Qom, while congratulating the arrival of the Fajr Decade, said: Qom Municipality plans to inaugurate its projects on national and religious occasions, of which the Fajr Decade is one of the most important occasions.

He went on to say that in the days of the Fajr decade, 100 urban projects, including 10 large projects in Qom, will be put into operation this year.

The first inauguration will take place on February 3, with the Judy Martyrs Cultural and Sports Complex and the arrival of 52 buses in the city’s public transport fleet.

The Mayor of Qom noted that inauguration of several projects to improve historical sites including the third phase of the sidewalk of Ayatollah Marashi Najafi (Eram), Borghei Martyr Boulevard, Sadeghi Martyrs Boulevard, phase one of the pilgrim park and the ritual of allegiance to Hazrat Mahdi (as) and the beginning of the work of the municipal pilgrims’ facilities headquarters on the occasion of mid-Sha’ban and Nowruz are among the projects that will be implemented in the blessed days ahead.

Dr. Saghaiannejad also announced the allocation of 800 million Tomans for buying decoration items, adding that this amount is in addition to the usual budget and facilities of each district for decoration in the city of Qom during the Fajr Decade and Shabaniyah holidays, especially mid-Shaban.
