Director General of Environmental Protection of Qom Province says the capacity of the National Environment Fund can be used for provincial projects.
Seyyed Reza Mousavi Meshkini made the remarks at the meeting of the waste management organization council which was held in the municipality of Qom on Monday.
Using the capacity of the National Environment Fund, proper environmental activities can be defined, which are in line with the fund’s charter, Mousavi Meshkini stated.
ٍElsewhere in his remarks, he also touched upon the green industry and said all industrial, mining, and service units can contribute to this process.
The applicant units can complete their environmental questionnaire using the comprehensive system of the Deputy Minister of Human Environment, he explained.
Moreover, Director General of Environmental Protection of Qom Province noted that the issue is called up every year and the participating units are evaluated based on some factors.
According to the Law of the Fourth Five-Year Plan of Development of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the National Environment Fund has started its activities since 2015.
The fund is a Non-Departmental Public organization affiliated with the Department of the Environment (DoE) and aims at reducing environmental pollutants, protecting the environment, and preventing it from being degraded and destructed, etc.
