The mayor of Qom announced the municipality’s readiness to cooperate with the universities of the province.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the announcement in a meeting with the presiding board members of Shahab Danesh University.
Emphasizing the position of universities in the country, he said that he has been in the university for 43 years as academic staff, and he has tried not to distance himself from the academic atmosphere of the university during these years.
He recalled his 20-year experience in the field of urban management and then pointed out the importance of research and added that the issue of research both in urban management and in the university is still neglected and we have not yet been able to establish our relationship with the people and from the people’s point of view.
The mayor of Qom examined the reasons for the lack of communication between the people and the university and said that we still have not been able to establish a relationship between the university and the industry.
These two important areas work independently and the role of the university is not created as a belief in the people to introduce the effects and blessings of this relationship, he added.
