Qom city management insists on collecting abandoned rails: Mayor

The mayor of Qom has said given the approvals of the president’s visit to Qom, the provincial management sector insists on collecting abandoned rails.

Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks in the forty-sixth official and public session of the Islamic City Council of Qom while touching upon obtaining a budget line permit for collecting abandoned rails along with excavation and paving.

According to the approvals of the president Raisi visit to Qom, the provincial management sector insisting on collecting abandoned rails.

He pointed out some of the challenges ahead in collecting abandoned rails and clarified that the status of ownership around abandoned rails is still unclear.

Already, some institutions are claiming ownership of the land around the abandoned rails and are planning to put obstacles, which the municipality will strongly oppose, he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, referring to the situation of the Amin Boulevard Bridge in Qom, the mayor reiterated that the collection and demolition of this bridge must be carefully examined and no expert action has been taken yet regarding the necessity or unnecessity of Amin Boulevard Bridge.
