The acting head of transportation and traffic deputy of Qom Municipality has stated that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) will be supported in order to promote using clean transportation in the city.
Deputy of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality is obliged to create suitable infrastructure for the development of clean transportation, said Masoud Tabibi in an interview.
Tabibi expressed hope that they can provide opportunities and conditions for using various intercity travel systems in Qom.
He referred to special programs that are to be implemented from December 17, National Transportation Day, to January 19, National Clean Air Day, in the city of Qom.
The programs aimed at changing the citizens’ traffic behavior and encouraging them to use safe and clean transportation, he noted.
Moreover, the acting head of transportation and traffic deputy of Qom Municipality invited NGOs to encourage the use of clean transportation, especially bicycles, in Qom.
Having clean air and healthy citizens depend on reducing the use of private cars in intercity travels, he added.
The municipal official finally emphasized that advertising and informing the citizens can help promote the use of clean transportation.
It should be noted that a group of city managers attended a cycling tour on the occasion of the National Day of Transportation in order to encourage citizens to use clean and safe transportation in intercity travels.
