The head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality says the municipality has a green management approach in its measures in Alborz Site Complex.
Alborz waste separation & processing factory is a complex that enters more than 650 tons of waste produced in Qom daily into the cycle of processing, separation, disposal and burial, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi stated on the sidelines of the inauguration of urban environmental projects in Qom, which was held in the framework of the “Qom on the path of development” plan on Wednesday.
Up to 300 tons of waste are now processed, and as the second line of waste processing put into operation, another 300 tons will be added to this capacity in the next six months, Mirebrahimi noted.
Saying currently 30 tons of compost fertilizer is daily produced in Alborz waste processing complex, he added that the second line of Fine Fertilizer sieve will be set up by the end of this year in order to produce first and second grade fertilizers that can be used in urban green spaces and gardens so we can manage all waste and produce compost.
The municipal official emphasized that the operations in Alborz Waste Processing Complex are carried out with a green management approach.
So, due to the poor condition of the soil in this area as well as water problems, up to 20,000 trees have been planted in the Alborz site belt to avoid environmental problems for the outskirts of the city and the neighbors of this complex, he added.
The head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality pointed out that the measures that are being carried out in Alborz Waste Processing Complex are all in line with preserving the environment and serving the future.
