The head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality has announced the launch of an intelligent dry waste management and collection system named ‘Zipak’.
Referring to ‘Zipak’ intelligent system, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi said it has provided services in the field of technology and has been able to eradicate many problems related to coordination and delays.
The purpose of launching ‘Zipak’ system is to support the environment and integrate and centralize waste delivery to booths and drivers, Mirebrahimi reiterated.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the municipality official evaluated the performance of Municipal Waste Organization executive branch in 2020, saying given the outbreak of the coronavirus and changes in many municipal programs, the actions of organization have been quite significant.
He stated that the number of dry waste collection vehicles in the city’s 8 districts is 250, adding 250 boxes of construction waste collection were totally increased in 2020 and the volume of 1 million 654 thousand 710 cubic meters of civil and construction waste was collected.
Touching upon the importance of education in promoting the culture of citizenship in the field of waste management, Mirebrahimi said waste management concepts were taught to 2,500 guilds, 3,700 offices and 100 stores last year.
He also declared that one thousand and 483 cases of violations in collecting and organizing garbage collectors have been identified and are being investigated.
