“The construction of the Imam Musa Sadr underpass will take 36 months, with the project estimated to cost up to 20 trillion rials,” said the Deputy for Technical and Construction Affairs.
Discussing the project, which is located on the western side of the holy shrine, Abbas Halwaizadeh stated: “The initial contract value is set at 11.3 trillion rials, but with adjustment factor, the total cost is expected to reach up to 20 trillion rials.”
He further explained, “The project will start at Shahid Rajaee Bridge on Imam Musa Sadr Street and extend to Hojjatiyeh Bridge.”
Highlighting the scope of the work, the Deputy noted: “The project will involve 360,000 cubic meters of excavation and 29,000 square meters of decking, with a total length, including the ramps, of approximately 1,700 meters.”
