Qom Municipality’s transportation and traffic deputy elaborated on the new projects, including the refurbishing of 44 taxis and executive plans to increase parking lots in Qom city.
Masoud Tabibi made the remarks on Sunday during the ceremony of opening, operating, and starting the executive operations of 13 urban projects referring to the perspective of the transformation of the transportation field in the city of Qom.
The development of intersections with traffic lights to ease the traffic is one of the important priorities of the urban management sector, he stated.
Touching upon the instructions issued for the development of smart intersections, he said, “Traffic calming and traffic controlling are two important and basic rules in the development of such intersections, which are currently being done in some urban areas.
Increasing the capacity of infrastructures such as parking, along with increasing the lifespan of existing infrastructures such as the longitudinal and transverse markings of road surfaces, has been the focus of Qom’s urban management sector, and implementation plans are defined accordingly, he noted.
