The acting Deputy of Qom Municipality’s Urban Planning and Architecture has declared that a plan has been developed to organize the entrance view of the city.
The plan was prepared to improve the view of Qom entrances from Tehran, Arak and Jafaria, said Masoud Milani in an interview on Sunday.
Milani stated that the General Administration of Roads and Urban Development of Qom Province has also prepared a plan to organize and improve the entrance to the city from the old Kashan road.
Some issues, like spiritual values and visual enhancement, have been considered in studying and designing of Qom entrances, he noted.
The municipal official went on to say that increasing the efficiency of city entrances, and creating vitality, readability, etc., have also been paid attention in the plan.
Former governor of Qom, Bahram Sarmast, had earlier appreciated the municipality’s efforts for the study plan of organizing the entrance of the city.
It is worth mentioning that Roman and composite facades are banned to be implemented in the city of Qom, especially on the sidewalks around the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS).
It was stressed that the facades should be constructed in accordance with the historical context, identity and culture of the city of Qom.
