Head of Tourism Department of Qom Municipality’s Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization has declared that the secretariat of tourism symposium will be activated in the city of Qom.
The meeting related to the establishment of the secretariat will be held in the City Council, Qom University, Deputy Minister of Transportation and Traffic and the Organization for Improvement and Renovation of the streets around the holy shrine, Hamid Naderi said.
Naderi referred to the importance of developing a calendar of symposium sessions, adding as the number of travelers and tourists is expected to increase in Nowruz next year, it is necessary to establish a calendar to coordinate Nowruz programs.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he elaborated on the programs of the Tourism Department in order to introduce the capacities of historical, recreational and scientific tourism of Qom.
The municipality of Qom has also sought to establish a tourism headquarter to provide cultural and information services and explore revenue-generating opportunities in the field of tourism in order to increase the satisfaction and stay-time of pilgrims and tourists, he noted.
During the tenure of Dr. Saghaiannejad in Qom Municipality, several measures have been taken to strengthen the tourism economy of Qom, attract domestic and foreign investors, and introduce the city’s tourism capacities to the citizens and tourists.
