The cultural, artistic and sports organization of Qom Municipality held the first provincial symposium on the role of stakeholders in the tourism development of the city of Qom.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Masoud Tabibi, the acting head of transportation and traffic deputy of Qom municipality, Mostafa Molaei, Chairman of the Social and Cultural Commission of Qom City Council, and Abolghasem Moghimi, Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization.
Alireza Khaki, the CEO of Urban Renewal Organization of Qom Municipality, representatives of the General Directorate of Qom Cultural Heritage, officials of Qom Municipality’s Applied Scie University and other provincial and city officials also took part in the symposium.
Speaking at the first provincial symposium on the role of stakeholders in the tourism development of Qom, Abolghasem Moghimi stressed the need to do research and record the city’s religious and historical customs and values to attract more domestic and foreign tourists to Qom.
Furthermore, Majid Mohammadreza Khani, Acting Deputy of Planning and Human Resources of Qom Municipality noted that the city of Qom has the potential of attracting religious, scientific as well as historical tourists and should be paid special attention as the most important tourist attraction in the country.
It is worth mentioning that the meeting was held mainly to introduce Qom’s tourism capacities in the national and international arenas.
