The mayor of Qom has announced that 14 significant urban projects will be put into operation by the end of this year.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad referred to Eram sidewalk, Ghadir tunnel, part of Ammar Yaser project to Moallem square, Prayer square, Ferdowsi intersection, and Jomhouri Project in district 2 as some main urban projects.
Completing Shahid Borghei Street, 1000-hectare park project, and an amusement park and constructing sports halls in districts 3, 4, and 5 are also other major urban projects that will be operationalized by the yearend, Saghaiannejad added.
Furthermore, he touched upon the ongoing projects in the city of Qom, saying in the year 1400, which was the first year of the Qom Municipality’s 1404 program, 72% of the planned projects were implemented.
Having elaborated on Qom 1400 programs, the mayor noted that green space development, city cleaning, urban roads expansion, city beautification, and transportation and traffic management have been paid special in this program.
He also highlighted the municipality’s achievements in the program, reiterating that we managed to reach 20.7 per capita green space in the year 1400.
At present, the city of Qom ranks third in the country among the eight main metropolises in terms of green space, he concluded.
