A member of Qom City Council presiding board has said that Women and Family Committee was formed to increase women’s participation in urban decisions.
Speaking in the twelfth public meeting of the City Council of Qom on Tuesday, Narjes Niazmand stressed that there should be a special look at women in the media, social and economic dimensions in the city of Qom and their demands should be considered in urban issues.
Niazmand also noted that women and family affairs should also be paid special attention at the community level; otherwise, we will face many problems in the future that are much more difficult to deal with.
Women and Family Committee seeks to increase the active participation of women and the family in urban decisions such as transportation, budgeting, garden design, urban design, and so on, the member of Qom City Council presiding board stated.
Last month, Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization said “the municipality pays special attention to women, the elderly and children in cultural planning.”
Abolghasem Moghimi stressed that we were trying to implement programs to strengthen the foundation of the family, and the role of women to promote religious and revolutionary culture and the Iranian-Islamic lifestyle.
