The head of the Qom City Council says that maintaining and increasing the useful life of urban facilities and infrastructures is directly related to the citizens’ satisfaction.
Speaking at the 11th public meeting of Qom City Council on Monday, Hussein Eslami stressed the need of timely repairing and paving the urban roads.
This should be done at the right time and before the cost of urban management increases, Eslami added.
Elsewhere in his remarks, he referred to the arrival of the Islamic Unity Week, saying that Iran’s position on the unity among Muslims is very clear.
But, security and intelligence services of the enemies have tried over the years to create divisions and differences between Shias and Sunnis, he added.
In the meantime, the head of the Cultural and Social Commission of the Qom city council, also attending the meeting, stated that strengthening the platform and creating opportunities for the prosperity of the urban economy and the development of tourism are important goals of ‘Qom Day’.
Mostafa Molaei elaborated on the origins of naming ‘Qom Day’, reiterating that in 2019, the Provincial Public Culture Council named the anniversary of the arrival of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS) in Qom as the ‘Day of Qom’.
The measure aimed at strengthening the sense of belonging and urban identity and introducing various scientific and religious dimensions to the citizens, Molaei noted.
