The mayor of Qom has declared that Qom Fire Department has world standard equipment to serve the citizens.
Speaking at the 10th public meeting of the Qom City Council which was held on Monday, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad said during the last few years, Qom municipality has taken different measures to provide the equipment needed by the Fire and Safety Services Organization.
Moreover, the director general of the Qom Municipality Fire and Safety Services Organization previously said that all firefighters are equipped with standard individual equipment.
Abbas Jafari also announced that Qom is the only standard metropolis of the country in terms of the number of fire stations, speaking in a ceremony commemorating the National Day of Fire Fighting and Safety Services on September 29.
He referred to the construction of the central fire station on the Great Prophet (PBUH) Boulevard, saying this station is the only central fire station in the country with modern equipment.
Furthermore, the mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad extended his congratulations on the occasion of National Day of Fire Fighting and Safety Services to the firefighters of Qom Municipality.
September 29 was first observed as the National Firefighters’ Day in the Iranian calendar year 1379 (March 2000-March 2001), 20 years after a tragic incident during the Iran-Iraq war.
