In a message released on Monday, the mayor of Qom expressed his condolences over the passing anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) and Imam Reza (AS).
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad said the demise anniversary Holy Prophet (PBUH), and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan Mojtaba and Imam Reza (AS) is an opportunity to review and study the lives of these great people in order to determine the correct path of individual and social life.
The more we know the holy prophet (PBUH) and the Ahlul-Bayt (AS), the more we respect and obey them, Saghaiannejad noted.
He also stressed the importance of systematic modeling in Islam, saying the individual and social behavior of the Prophet and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) is the best model for the contemporary world.
The 28th day of the lunar month of Safar is concurrent with the passing away of the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom of his grandson Imam Hassan (PBUH) who was also the second Shia Imam.
Moreover, the 29th day of the lunar month of Safar, marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Reza (AS), the eight infallible successor of the prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
