Chairman of the Civil Engineering, Transportation and Traffic Commission of Qom City Council says, more than 25.000 billion rials have been spent on transportation and traffic in the city of Qom in the last two years.
Attending a ceremony introducing the new head of Bus Organization of Qom Municipality, Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Dehnad stressed the importance of the bus fleet in the city’s public transportation network.
Dehnad went on to say that developing public transport fleet is an important mission in the field of transportation.
Due to the significance of transportation, the main budget and financial resources of Qom have been spent in this area and more than 25.000 billion rials have been spent on transportation and traffic in the city in the last two years, he noted.
Moreover, he said that given the current economic conditions, the budget should be spent with proper management and prioritization in this area in order to have the maximum benefit for the citizens.

In the meantime, the mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad appointed Hussein Shaban Nejad as the new head of transportation and traffic organization of municipality in a decree issued on October 2nd.
