Head of Taxi Management Organization of Qom Municipality has announced that English and Arabic language courses are held for taxi drivers since the city of Qom is the destination of more than 5 million foreign pilgrims annually.
According to the plans made, English and Arabic language courses are being held in the cultural and artistic organization for taxi drivers, stated Ali Nik in an interview.
Touching upon the importance of setting up a pilgrim taxi network in Qom, Nik said the city of Qom is the destination of 20 million domestic pilgrims and more than 5 million foreign pilgrims who need to receive special transportation services.
He went on to say that setting up a pilgrim taxi network needs special facilities and services that can meet the expectations of pilgrims, especially foreign ones.
So, we are waiting for the allocation of luxury taxis by the taxi drivers’ union to launch the pilgrim taxi, the municipal official noted.
Moreover, he reiterated that there will be special places for pilgrim taxis around the holy shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (AS), adding 5 places have been allocated and designed for these taxis.
Head of Taxi Management Organization of Qom Municipality further expressed hope that they can launch the pilgrim taxi network with luxury and standard services in the very near future.
