On the occasion of Sacred Defense Week, a group of managers of Qom Municipality reaffirmed allegiance with the ideals of the Sacred Defense martyrs.
The ceremony, commemorating the Sacred Defense Week and the sacrifices of the Iranian warriors, was held in Golzar Shohada (Garden of Martyrs Cemetery) on Tuesday.
In this ceremony, which was attended by a group of general staff managers, managers of Qom eight regions, consultants and a group of Qom Municipality’s employees, as well as Hojatoleslam Ali Loghmanpour, director general of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values of Qom province.
In addition to reaffirming allegiance with the martyrs’ ideals, participants emphasized their commitment to continue their path.
Earlier, Qom municipality installed more than 1,300 square meters of banners in the city to do environmental advertising on the occasion of Sacred Defense Week.
Furthermore, Mehdi Kalantarzadeh, the Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality previously announced that the statues of scholars, commanders, and martyred commanders are unveiled by the Qom Municipality Beautification Organization this week.
The Holy Defense Week is an annual event held to commemorate eight years of resistance against the invasion led by the former Iraqi dictator who imposed the war on Iran from September 22, 1980, to August 20, 1988.
