The director general of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality has announced that the new phase of a study plan surveying the compatibility of plant species with the Qom climate was begun.
Referring to the implementation of a study plan examining plant species compatible with the Qom climate, Payam Javadian said the first phase of the project was carried out during two three-year periods from 2010 by the Parks Organization in cooperation with the Agricultural Jihad Research Center and more than 100 plant species were studied.
Now, the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality intends to continue the new phase in its research, training, and flower and plant production center with the internal capacity of its experts, Javadian added.
He also said that part of the studies will be done in medicinal plants research garden located in Alavi Park, reiterating at this site, medicinal plants which are compatible with the city’s climate will be planted.
Using the experts’ knowledge, cost productivity, and the created infrastructure, we are seeking to make the most of the facilities and achieve good results, the municipal official noted.
Javadian had previously announced the inauguration of a medicinal plants research garden with 50 species in Alavi Park in the very near future.
