The director general of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality has emphasized the localization of green space water pumping systems.
In the past, most of the pressure boosting pump systems used in urban green space were imported, Payam Javadin said, adding but due to the oppressive sanctions against Islamic Republic of Iran, their prices have skyrocketed.
Therefore, after doing some researches and visiting national water industry exhibitions, we decided to use domestic products, Javadin noted.
He also referred to the benefits of using domestic products as reducing the production costs, and using after-sales services of Iranian companies.
Stressing that domestically-produced products are fully competitive with similar foreign products, the municipal official stated at present, Iranian pumps made in Pumpiran Company and Motogen electric motors are used in different pumping stations and wells.
The director general of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality reiterated that we have made great efforts to use local equipment and facilities for the maintenance and development of Qom green space, adding fortunately, a large part of this equipment has been localized over the past years.
Elaborating on the municipality’s efforts to not use the raw water and drinking water for irrigating Qom green space, Javadian had previously announced that “a wastewater transmission line is being constructed for irrigating the green space of the city with a credit of 55 billion rials”
