Director General of Human Resources of Qom Municipality has announced that the municipality employees have started to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 disease since the last few days.
Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, the municipality staff have supported the healthcare community and provided services in various sectors, including cemeteries, public transportation, fire stations, waste, etc., said Seyyed Ali Bigdeli while speaking to reporters.
Bigdeli went on to say that so, in order to prevent municipality employees from being infected by the COVID-19, Qom University of Medical Sciences issued a license to vaccinate them against the Coronavirus, and the process began on August 26, 2021.
The COVID-19 Vaccination Plan will continue until August 29 and can be extended if necessary, he explained.
Director General of Human Resources of Qom Municipality further appreciated the Qom University of Medical Sciences, provincial officials and the mayor for supporting the vaccination plan of the municipal staff.
It was reported that over the past 18 months, 18 staff of Qom Municipality have passed away mostly due to the COVID-19 infection.
