Since the pandemic’s beginning, the Municipality of Qom has made great efforts to keep citizens safe and informed about the Coronavirus.
As part of these efforts, the Director-General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality announced that more than 30,000 meters of banners have been installed throughout the city during the past two years.
Mehdi Kalantarzadeh made the remarks in the public meeting of the city’s Islamic Council, which was held today.
Referring to the establishment of the Coronavirus Headquarters in the city’s urban management, Kalantarzadeh stated that the headquarters have various specialized committees, such as the Information Committee.
In the last 18 months, more than 30,000 meters of information banners have been displayed in the city, he noted, adding that during this period, efforts have been made to produce specialized materials in 372 service missions and publish them to inform the people.
He went on to say that since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in the city, Qom Municipality cooperated with the University of Medical Sciences and the province’s health centers in various fields.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Director-General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality reiterated that many municipal organizations have suffered the most from the spread of the Coronavirus, saying but fortunately, Qom public transport drivers get vaccinated last month.
He also touched upon timely vaccination as the main reason why some countries succeeded in fighting the Coronavirus, emphasizing that efforts should be made to provide adequate vaccines for the country and inform people to get vaccinated.
