Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization has announced that some other cultural and sports complexes will be inaugurated by the end of this year.
The city of Qom has had a weak cultural and social infrastructure, so the urban management has been planning to compensate for this lack in recent years, Abolghasem Moghimi said on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the municipality’s projects within the ‘Qom on the path of development’ framework.
Due to these shortcomings, Qom Municipality has established various cultural and sports centers in some parts of the city, Moghimi stated, referring to the inauguration of Martyrs Jafarinia Cultural and Sports Complex which is aimed at compensating for the lack of cultural and sports centers in district 4.
He also emphasized that Martyrs Jafarinia Cultural and Sports Complex is the first multi-purpose gym, which has been built on a land with an area of 1800 meters of infrastructure and cost over 650 billion rials.
Managing Director of Qom Municipality Cultural, Artistic and Sports Organization went on to say that in order to strengthen the cultural and sports infrastructure of Qom, the construction project of the cultural and sports center of District 5 is also being implemented, which will be put into operation in September.
He finally touched upon the final stages of the construction of two other cultural and sports complexes in the districts 3 and 8 which will be opened in the next two months.
On the 9th week of inaugurations, Martyrs Jafarinia Cultural and Sports Complex and two other municipal projects were launched today in the presence of Qom Governor, Mayor of Qom, chairman and members of the Islamic City Council of Qom, Civil Deputy of Qom Governorate, provincial officials, and city managers.
