Qom Municipality Director General of Security says city buses and fire trucks will soon be equipped with the Global Positioning System (GPS).
Touching upon the implementation of smart plans in city buses and fire trucks, Sphiganian stated that one of the municipal security measures in the field of optimal management is the use of GPS.
When the GPS is installed, the fire truck’s route, the amount of fuel it consumed, and the time of its arrival to the scene of accident can be recorded, he noted.
He went on to say that implementing smart plans in the city buses will enable us to monitor the amount and time of the buses’ stop, and the driver’s performance on the route.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Qom Municipality Director General of Security referred to setting up an electronic monitoring system, adding that in the last 6 years, we have added 700 more cameras in the municipal complex, strengthened the monitoring center, and updated the software.
So far, the Qom municipality has taken several measures to implement “Smart Qom” plan and develop the smart city programs.
And in this regard, the head of Smart City Center of Qom Municipality had earlier announced that “Smart Qom” is the program to transform Qom into a more sustainable and livable smart city for all citizens, businesses, start-ups, public and private sectors.
