Following the ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan, the Qom Municipality inaugurated 12 development projects with the aim of creating urban infrastructure, including the improvement of streets in different districts.
The inauguration ceremony of the urban projects was held with the presence of Qom mayor, Dr. Saghaiannejad, Ayatollah A’rafi, the director of the country’s seminaries, chairman, and members of the Islamic City Council of Qom, provincial officials, and city managers.
The first project was the construction of a livestock and poultry street with an area of 20,000 square meters, which is located in Kuh-e Sefid area.
The project was expected to cost more than 45 billion rials and will be put into operation by the end of this year.
The main goals of constructing the street include organizing industrial and commercial passages in the region and increasing public satisfaction.
The street will be constructed with a suitable width in order to operate industrial factories with a surface water disposal system and facilitate investment and the process of manufacturing companies.
Moreover, improving Martyr Khoda Karam Boulevard in an area of 3500 meters was another civil project which was started to be carried out with a credit of 18 billion and 500 million rials.
Securing the boulevard, preventing accidents, standardizing the route, and facilitating the traffic can be referred to as the major goals of the project.
Furthermore, Martyr Chamran Street was begun to be improved with a credit of 7 billion rials and will be put into operation by the next six months.
Organizing the marginal green space, increasing public satisfaction, and developing the green space are of the basic goals of the project whose main features are beautifying the route and increasing visual visibility.
The fourth project, which was launched following the ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan, was operating 30-meter Sangbari Street with a credit of 35 billion rials in the Persian Gulf Boulevard.
The project has been implemented since 2020 in an area of 45,000 square meters with the aim of improving urban traffic.
Finally, the last project that was launched today was the improvement of Martyr Abedi Boulevard in an area 1.250 meters.
The project which will be performed with an estimated credit of 5 billion rials is mainly aimed at increasing the visual beauty of the refuge in the middle of the boulevard and preventing motorcycles traffic from the width of the boulevard.
