Within the ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan, the Qom municipality will soon begin a project to support the construction and development of environmentally friendly buildings to promote citizenship health.
I was reported that the plan supporting the development of green buildings will soon begin with the presence of Qom city and provincial officials on a trial basis and will continue for the next 5 years.
With the implementation of this plan, municipal expenditures are expected to decrease by 600 billion rials per year, the report said.
The most important goals of this project include taking an important step in achieving the Qom Municipality’s 1404 strategic plan to provide a green city and paving the way to improve the citizens’ lifestyle by modifying the body of residential, educational and office living spaces.
Achieving the overall environmental goals of the municipality without spending huge costs, developing the citizens’ participation in waste management from the source, increasing the citizens’ contribution to extend buildings green spaces such as green roofs, green facades, etc. are among the main features of this plan.
Other salient features of the plan are motivating citizens to optimally use water and energy resources in buildings, creating job through the establishment of an integrated mechanism to support knowledge-based companies in the field of techniques related to green building and related businesses, and involving the country’s top scientific and academic environments in the implementation and evaluation of project results.
The plan also focuses on increasing the scientific potential and attracting the participation of engineers and specialists of Qom province in various fields of energy, water, waste, and environmental resources.
