The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality says 72 projects are being inaugurated in the framework of ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan with a credit of 10 thousand billion rials.
Having 6 deputies and 15 organizations, Qom Municipality has provided services to citizens from birth to death, Mehdi Kalantarzadeh stated on national day of Municipalities and Rural Administration Organization on Monday.
Kalantarzadeh also referred to the weekly inaugurations of projects in the framework of ‘Qom on the path of development’ plan, saying that in order to serve the citizens, 72 projects are put into operation during ten weeks.
Emphasizing on resolving the Supreme Leader’s concerns to compensate for the historical backwardness of Qom, he noted that some projects are aimed at rehabilitating the city’s urban decay.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the municipal official said respecting human dignity is the most important concern of Qom Municipality.
Touching upon the importance of promoting the culture of using public transport, Kalantarzadeh expressed hope that all citizens will soon have a citizenship card and use public transport more than ever.
Furthermore, he called for using bicycle and creating necessary infrastructures for the development of clean transport, saying that in this regard, the municipality seeks to design and implement cycling routes in all parts of the city.
The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality further highlighted the importance of creating cycling opportunities for women and said to maintain justice, women also have the opportunity to ride bicycles in private parks.
