The executive operation of Ayatollah Marashi Najafi sidewalk has been started on the fourth week of the inaugurations of the municipality’s urban projects in the framework of “Qom on the path of development” plan.
In a video conference attended by Ayatollah Saeedi, the Supreme Leader’s representative in Qom province, Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad, Qom mayor, the Deputy Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Qom governorate, the chairman and members of the Islamic council of the city, the executive operation of Ayatollah Marashi Najafi sidewalk, located between Martyrs crossroad and Shabestan Street, was begun.
Reportedly, the project is being implemented in an area of 6.500 square meters and 148 billion rials have been allocated for its execution.
The salient features of this project, which will be operated by the end of 2021, include creating environmental security for citizens around the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS), implementing all facilities underground, creating urban furniture for the well-being of pilgrims and citizens and organizing the urban environment around the holy shrine.
Improving and beautifying the urban landscape, developing pedestrian traffic as well as increasing the per capita urban green space area are among the main goals of constructing Ayatollah Marashi Najafi sidewalk.
The mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad had earlier announced that 45 projects will be opened during 12 weeks in the framework of “Qom on the path of development” plan.
