Managing Director of Qom Municipality Passenger Terminals Organization says central terminal, as the main terminal of the city, is organized and ready to serve passengers.
In the past few years, organizing the central terminal as the main terminal in Qom has been on the agenda and today it is ready to provide transportation facilities to the passengers, Reza Pourianfar noted.
Pourianfar also announced that the terminals and the north park-ride are ready to transport passengers when Coronavirus is over, stressing the pandemic and travel restrictions to the city of Qom could not prevent municipality from performing its duties.
Emphasizing on carrying out civil projects and realizing the movement of organizing terminals in the past year, he said all the projects have been done while observing the health protocols and many of them will be put into operation soon.
The municipal official pointed to the measures that have been taken for organizing the central terminal as constructing a special platform for travel companies, repairing and concreting the terminal area, building more than 100 canopies, coding passenger platforms, installing signposts in the terminal, organizing passenger cargo transportation, and constructing warehouse.
He went on to say that the development of the green space, along with the implementation of more than 2050 square meters of flooring, as well as reconstruction of waiting area’s floor has provided favorable conditions for waiting passengers.

The city of Qom, with the annual arrival of 20 million pilgrims and domestic travelers and more than two million foreign pilgrims, is one of the religious tourism hubs in the country.
