The second line of Qom municipal waste processing, which was constructed with a credit of 150 billion rials, has been launched on Wednesday.
It was reported that the executive operation of constructing the second line of municipal waste processing was held today following the “Qom on the path of development” plan.
The main goals of implementing the second line of municipal waste processing plan are environmental protection, urban waste management, separation of valuable and organic waste, and prevention of excessive disposal of high quality compost fertilizer, the report said.
Main features of this project also include separating valuable materials and creating a sustainable income for the city of Qom.
The second line of Qom municipal waste processing has a daily capacity of 300 tons of municipal waste processing and elimination of direct landfill.
It should be noted that when the project becomes operational, 40 jobs will be directly created.
The mayor of Qom Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad had earlier announced that 45 projects will be opened during 12 weeks in the framework of “Qom on the path of development” plan.
