The director of the Parks and Green Space Organization of Qom Municipality says more than 1500 gardeners and green space experts of the municipality will be trained to separate urban waste from the source.
Stressing the importance of waste segregation from the source as a public duty, Payam Javadian said that we should create a culture of waste separation among citizens.
Since waste segregation and its recycling will greatly reduce waste management costs and significantly contribute to the urban economy, the municipality’s gardeners and green space experts as well as Qom citizens should be trained in this regard, the municipality official added.
He went on to say that with these training courses, municipal waste can be reused in all cases from plants to plastic, wood, etc.
Similarly, the head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality had previously emphasized the importance of education in promoting the culture of citizenship in the field of waste management.
Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi had announced that waste management concepts were taught to 2,500 guilds, 3,700 offices and 100 stores last year.
He had also announced the launch of an intelligent dry waste management and collection system named ‘Zipak’.
