The head of the Waste Management Organization of Qom Municipality has announced that two new municipal waste transfer stations will be put into operation by the end of 2021.
Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi emphasized that developing two new stations and increasing the capacity of existing waste transfer stations by 500 tons will accelerate the waste collection management this year.
Developing waste infrastructure is one of the high-priority programs of waste management organization, Mirebrahimi said, adding this year, the waste recovery line system with a daily capacity of 300 tons and a credit of 88 billion rials was operationalized to improve the infrastructures.
He also referred to the Reject Processing and Transfer Plant, and said that the creation of health engineering landfill cells has been done in the Alborz site along with the implementation of a comprehensive waste management plan.
Earlier, Seyyed Abdullah Mirebrahimi had announced the launch of an intelligent dry waste management and collection system named ‘Zipak’ which is going to support the environment and integrate and centralize waste delivery to booths and drivers.
he had also said that ‘Zipak’ intelligent system has provided services in the field of technology and has been able to eradicate many problems related to coordination and delays.
