The head of the eighth district of Qom Municipality has announced the construction of an orchard with an area of 17,000 square meters in Ghadir park.
Given the special climate conditions of the city of Qom, developing as much green space as possible should be a priority, Mohammad Ramezani emphasized, saying to this end, in addition to the development of green space, the construction of Ghadir park orchard is also on the agenda.
Ramezani also stated that more than 1600 seedings of different species, such as pomegranates and fruit olives, are planted in this orchard.
Saying that 22,000 square meters are now used for planting fruit trees, he added when this orchard with an area of 17,000 square meters is built, the area of planting fruit trees in this park will be doubled.
The head of the 8th district of Qom Municipality pointed out that the construction cost of this green space project is estimated at 2 billion rials.
Earlier, the Deputy of Municipal Services of Qom Municipality had announced the creation of more than 540 km of linear green space in the streets of Qom stressing the significance of developing shade in the desert city.
