The director of Qom Municipality Waste Management Organization says 670 to 700 tons of waste are collected daily from the city, in which more than 50% of wet waste in Qom is turned into fertilizer.
Abdullah Mirebrahimi stated that article 20 of the Clean Air Act deals with waste management and should be given serious consideration.

The municipality official reiterated that we hope that with the support of related organizations in the implementation of the second project, 15 billion Tomans of credit be provided and this project put into effect until the end of the next year.
In addition, he said that “waste incineration is one of the serious environmental problems and must be addressed. Currently, the use of rubber instead of fuel is also a serious challenge.
