The entrance boulevard of Qom city, between 72-tan Square and Azadegan Square, was named after “Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Boulevard”, a member of Qom’s city council announced.
Seyyed Mojtaba Sobhani Sabet made the remarks at today’s meeting of the Islamic City Council of Qom.
He stated that the double urgency bill of naming one of the streets or squares of the city after Martyr Fakhrizadeh had been ratified since the assassination of the prominent nuclear scientist.
He went on to note that in fact, declaring urgency for this naming In Qom, meant more emphasis on the implementation of this symbolic move.
Of course, the Qom Municipality had suggested several places for this naming, and the members of the Qom Islamic City Council decided to choose the final location based on further consideration of the issue in the Urban Commission to achieve maximum effectiveness, says the head of the Urban Services and Pilgrims Affairs Commission of the Qom Islamic City Council.
Sobhani Sabet asserted that the proposal of the Urban Services and Pilgrims Affairs Commission is to name the boulevard between 72-tan Square and Azadegan Square in Qom as one of the entrances to the city after “Martyr Mohsen Fakhrizadeh”.
At the meeting, the proposal of the Urban Services and Pilgrims Affairs Commission of the Islamic City Council of Qom to name 17 other passages, parks, and other urban places in Qom after martyrs was also approved by the members of the Islamic City Council.
