The mayor of Qom says the municipality spares no effort to launch the first phase of the metro by early 1400 (Persian calendar year).
Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks on the sidelines of the meeting with the senior Judiciary official who paid a visit to urban projects on Tuesday afternoon.
He stated that currently our problem is the shortage of wagons and we are trying to fix it.
We asked the state officials to lend us two subway wagons and then reduce our quota so that, God willing, we can launch this project in May, the mayor noted.
Meanwhile, he announced the exploitation of about 20 more urban projects by the end of the year.
He also referred to the construction of eight sports stadiums and said: “Two of these stadiums have been handed over to the people, one of them has a judicial problem and the rest of the projects will be handed over by the end of the year.”
Saghaiannejad stressed that by the end of the year, about 20 projects will be put into operation including Alavi Park Télésiège station and Ghadir amusement park that would be operationalized in two weeks.
