The implementation of the Birds Garden project in Qom is in its final stages and will be put into operation soon. It considered, as the second bird garden in the country, an investment opportunity to increase the per capita recreation and tourism of the city.
The construction of Qom Birds Garden has been started in July 2017 with the aim of expanding per capita green space and creating social vitality by developing recreational and tourist facilities.
The city of Qom suffers a lot of setbacks in the field of recreational and urban tourism spaces. Meanwhile, increasing per capita recreational has been one of the major concerns of urban management during recent years. In this regard, arrangements have been made to compensate for the shortcomings.
It should be noted that the building of the Qom Birds Garden is an important approach in creating a suitable recreational space. It is predicted that it would have the capacity for keeping more than 5,000 birds and 200 species.
It could be named as a complex which enjoys the latest standards as well as particular designs that provide part of the tourism infrastructure of Qom. As a beautiful and attractive environment for birds’ life, it creates a good location for the development of recreational space.
Qom Birds Garden is the second largest of its kind in Iran. This garden is also ranked third in the country in terms of species diversity.
The garden with an area of 70,000 square meters is located in Mofid Square and Shahid Avini Boulevard.
Construction of retaining walls, footpaths and pavements, entrance building and WCs, waterfall and pond, bird cages, and tropical cages are among the measures taken in this project.
