The governor of Qom announced the formation of a joint working group with the cooperation of the municipality, roads, urban planning and other service providers in order to organize informal settlements in the city.
On the sidelines of visiting the dilapidated structures and informal settlements, Bahram Sarmast stressed the urgent need to organize these areas.
The Qom governor stated that during this visit, we came to conclusion that it is essential to form a joint working group for organizing these areas, adding that 32 hectares of lands that have been allocated to this purpose will support the working group’s plans.
Sarmast went on to say that this joint working group will be formed with cooperation of the municipality, and roads and urban planning, and other service providers, such as water, electricity, gas and other units that can be useful the issue, will participate in the working group.
Referring to talks with the Executive Headquarters of Imam Khomieni’s Directive, the official said that If we can attract the cooperation of the headquarter, we can use it to boost our plan.
Meanwhile, Sarmast noted that the comprehensive plan that is presented by the municipality, roads, urban planning and other relevant units, should be followed in the plan of the Deputy of Civil Engineering of the municipality.
