The Director General of Communications and International Affairs of Qom Municipality announced the holding of the opening ceremony and start of executive operations of 12 major projects in Qom with the virtual presence of the Speaker of Iranian parliament (Majlis).
Speaking to Shahr news, Mahdi Kalantarzadeh declared that the inauguration ceremony of 12 key projects in the city will be held with the attendance of Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf via video-conference.
The municipality official noted that the speaker of Majlis was supposed to participate in the inauguration ceremony in Qom, adding that but due to the special conditions imposed by coronavirus restrictions and to respect the rules, this ceremony will be held virtually.
Kalantarzadeh reiterated that these inaugurations are parts of the municipality’s plans on the occasion of Qom Day.
He went on to add that this is also the fourth inauguration of major projects in Qom Municipality, which has been performed since the beginning of the year.
According to him, in the current year, 99 major projects were underway in Qom Municipality, parts of which has been inaugurated since the start of the year and the other parts will be put into operation in the upcoming months.
Elaborating on these major projects, he said that Qom Bird Garden, Pardisan park and the investment project of the Great Prophet (PBUH) Boulevard are among the projects that will be inaugurated or its executive operations will begin with the virtual presence of the parliament speaker.
Earlier, the official had outlined that all the ceremonies will be held with a minimum presence of people and with strict observance of health protocols.
