July 8, 2020. The Deputy Mayor for Transportation and Traffic says the first-ever traffic training bus has been launched in the city with the aim of improving the safety of motorcyclists, stressing the importance of training on promoting traffic culture.
Referring to the importance and position of training in promoting traffic culture, Abbas Zakarian stated that one of the neglected issues in the field of traffic is the issue of education and this need is felt more than before.
He considered the development of educational programs as one of the priorities of Qom Municipality and asserted, “Unfortunately, on the one hand, more than 50% of accidents in Qom belonged to motorcyclists, and this indicates a low level of observing safety tips in the city.”
The Qom mayor deputy announced the start of the motorcyclists’ training program while noting that the traffic training bus is equipped with the cooperation of traffic police to train motorcyclists.
Zakarian described the educational campaigns as one of the joint programs of the Qom municipality and the traffic police and reiterated that in order to promote culture, especially in the field of traffic, cultural campaigns should be run along with other programs.
