The mayor of Qom emphasized the implementation of the plan to exempt public transportation fees for the families of martyrs and the disabled, saying all the implementation mechanisms of the plan should be determined.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the remarks at the 70th official and public meeting of the Qom Islamic City Council.
Referring to the agreement of the municipality on the implementation of the plan to exempt the families of martyrs and the disabled from paying public transportation fees, he said that the municipality agrees with the implementation of this plan and if there is a delay in sending the bill, it is because of the lack of signing of the memorandum with the Martyrs Foundation.
“This memorandum has not been signed yet, because there are two different estimates of the project’s costs; In one estimate, the costs are calculated at 200 million tomans and in another estimate, one billion and 200 million tomans are calculated. Also, all the implementation mechanisms of the plan should be specified.”
The financial burden of implementing this plan is not important for the municipality and the plan will be implemented, but the plan must be executed with the right legal mechanism so that we don’t get into trouble in the future, and the bill will be submitted to the council in the next three weeks, he concluded.
