The deputy head of Transportation and Traffic of Qom Municipality announced the municipality plans to build 3,500 parking cells in eight districts of the city.
Seyyed Amir Abbas Safavi made the announcement referring to the problems and lack of parking in the city.
Today, in the parking sector, we are facing delays of more than a decade, which must be compensated by long-term and scientific planning, he said.
He considered unconventional parks in the main passages of the street as one of the problems of removing parking in the city and added that this problem is not only related to the central core of the city and today we see many problems in all parts of the city that must be managed.
He announced the comprehensive planning in the field of parking for all areas of the city and stated that since last year, comprehensive studies for the construction of parking in eight areas have been started and the potential of each area for the building of parking has been identified separately.
