The deputy of Transport andTtraffic of Qom Municipality said that the number of 100 deaths in the city is significant and this indicates problems in traffic behavior, in fact all the organizations are responsible to correct the situation.
Masoud Tabibi made the remarks at the 61st official and public meeting of Qom Islamic City Council.
Pointing to the importance of examining the comprehensive transportation plan, he stated, “Today, the issue of road safety and determining the classification of road performance is not paid enough attention.”
Expressing concern about the number of 100 deaths per year for the city of Qom, he reiterated, “The number of 100 deaths in the city is significant and this indicates problems in traffic behavior. In fact, all organizations are responsible to correct the situation.”
He also pointed to balanced development and added, “Time is needed for balanced development, and we cannot fully ensure the safety of citizens, and if people’s lives are important to us, the purpose of roads should be determined correctly and the purposes around each road should be considered.”
