The mayor of Qom described simultaneous attention to civil development and cultural development in the city as one of the strategies and executive policies of the municipality.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the comments at the meeting of the representatives of students and scholars of Qom seminary which was held in the community of teachers of Qom seminary.
In the recent period, the Qom Municipality has tried for the cultural and civil development of the city, regarding the position of the city of Qom, he said.
He then elaborated on the actions taken by the municipality in the development of the city of Qom.
The reflection of the work and actions of the municipality shows itself in the livelihood of the people, he noted.
The common people may not know that our country is ranked 14th in the world in terms of science or what progress we have made in stem cells, but our performance in livelihood, welfare, and entertainment issues is influential in their view of the system, he added.
Considering the importance of culture, from the beginning of my presence in Qom municipality, we put the issue of dealing with mosques and artistic cultural centers in the city on the agenda, he underscored.
