A member of the Islamic City Council of Qom says the city council, in the form of subtracting the budget of 1400, makes great efforts to prevent the violation of the rights of the institution of public libraries.
Majid Akhvan made the remarks in the meeting of the head of Qom public libraries with the members of the Qom Islamic City Council.
The volume of interactions and cooperation between the institution of public libraries, the city council and the city management group should be increased, he stated.
Since the last decade and with the government’s entry into the half-percent debate, the share of public libraries in receiving urban management assistance has not been given much attention, he said.
He went on to note that the root of these problems is changing national laws and it is beyond the authority of the Islamic City Council.
