The mayor of Qom said that the cities of Karbala and Qom are among the prominent cities in the world of Shia and Islam and they can cooperate to exchange experience in urban management.
Dr. Seyyed Morteza Saghaiannejad made the comments at the meeting with the governor of the holy city of Karbala today.
Emphasizing the readiness to cooperate in various urban areas with this religious city, he stated that the cities of Karbala and Qom are among the important cities in the world in the world of Shia and Islam and they can cooperate to exchange experience in urban management.
Touching upon the sisterhood of Qom with the seven cities of the world, he added that Karbala is also a developing city that receives millions of pilgrims every year and should reach favorable conditions in the areas of transportation, beautification and urban services.
He then stressed that the city of Qom has achieved many achievements in the fields of construction, transportation and green space in the past years and that there is a readiness to share these experiences with the cities of Iraq.
We are ready to share any experience in the field of urban train, beautification and urban decay with the holy city of Karbala and we have no limits for cooperation, Qom mayor concluded.
